Remington Model 1875 Single Action Revolver, #13576, .45 LC cal., 7.5'' barrel, re-nickeled finish, two-piece smooth walnut grips, fixed blade front sight and notched rear sight, with lanyard ring at the butt. Barrel address is partially legible and reads from breech to muzzle ''MINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.'' Back of the cylinder is marked ''45''. Serial number located on left side of grip frame. The Remington Model 1875 was manufactured circa 1875-1889, with approx. 25,000-30,000 produced, although a majority were chambered in .44 caliber. Overall condition is fine, displaying a smooth and soft lightly cleaned appearance, with straw colored hues in the protected areas, scattered specks of light pitting, particularly on right side of the frame. Grips are also fine with pleasing grain patterns & retention of their rich oil finish, with scattered light handling marks. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore with scattered spots of light erosion, rifling is clearly defined and rates very good overall. Est.: $1,500-$2,000. (Antique)(Michael Strietbeck Collection)
