Colt Model 1862 Pocket Navy Conversion Five-Shot Cartridge Revolver, #17963, .38 RF cal., 4.5'' barrel, nickel finish, brass trigger guard and backstrap, hardwood grips, brass cone front sight, and ''V''-notched rear sight located on the hammer. Serial numbers are matching and the cylinder has an additional conversion number of ''6470''. Barrel address is marked in one-line ''ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA''. Condition of this revolver is very good, retaining approx. 70% of its nickel finish, showing expected marks from age and use, with intermittent spots of very minor erosion. Brass shows moderate toning. Cylinder scene and barrel address are clear. Grips are good showing general handling wear and thinning/flaking finish. Action is crisp.
