Lot 5 8-day 1x1 Canadian Moose hunt with Mountain Spirit Outfitters in British Columbia
8-day 1x1 Canadian Moose hunt with Mountain Spirit Outfitters in British Columbia
When that big old bull starts grunting his way in, slowly answering to a cow call, it gets your blood just pumping. The anticipation builds as you watch him emerge from the treeline, his massive frame and antlers silhouetted against the light. Several platform stands are available for hunting, which are ideal for bow hunters, and some are spacious enough to accommodate a tent—allowing you to stay overnight and be ready for that pre-dawn hunt when your target might wander through the clear-cut area or pursue a cow.
There are two main camps to choose from: Cameron Ridge Bungalows and Ghost Lake. Each location offers a distinct approach to moose hunting, yet both promise the same thrilling outcome—a successful harvest if luck and skill are on your side. Whether you set out from the easy road access of Cameron Ridge or venture by boat to the seclusion of Ghost Lake, both camps provide excellent opportunities for an unforgettable hunt.
Ghost Lake is boat access only, hunting the upper Matthew River calling along the way. Several elevated blinds are in strategic places, making it easier to observe moose movement above the willows and increase your chances of a successful hunt. The cabins at Ghost Lake are rustic but comfortable, offering a true wilderness experience.
If you wish to hunt out of Cameron Ridge Bungalows, you can conveniently drive right to camp. The site features numerous cabins, a shower house, a kitchen/dining cabin, and several other outbuildings for added comfort. From the bungalows, hunters have easy access to a variety of productive spots, from clear cuts and little meadows to secluded ponds, offering plenty of options to hunt moose throughout the area.
