Included is a four volume set of limited edition hunting books. The set was printed with limited numbered editions. No.1: Volume 1 is entitled "British Game Birds and Wild Fowl". Subtitled "British Game Birds and Wild Fowl". The volume is number "490" from 950 copies. Printed in 1912, the authors were Oglevie-Grant, Hood, Millais, Maxwell, Maysey-Thompson, Harding and Chapman. The book features colored illustrations throughout. / No.2: Volume 2 number "490 of 950" is entitled "The Gun at Home & Abroad". Book is authored by Millais, Baxendale, Harding, Oates, Portal, Fremantle, Published in 1913, the book is illustrated in color. / No.3: Volume 3 numbered "490 of 750" is entitled "The Gun at Home & Abroad". Subtitled "The Big Game of Africa and Europe". Authored by Selous, Millais and Chapman. Published in 1914. Books contains both colored as well as black and white illustrations. / No.4: Volume 4 numbered "490 of 600" is entitled "The Gun at Home & Abroad". Subtitled "The Big Game of Asia and North America". Authored by Millais, Carruthers, Van Der Byl, Wallace, Kennion and Barclay. Published in 1915. Book contains colored as well as black and white illustrations. Volumes are gold embossed and leather-bound. CONDITION: volumes have moderate wear, scuffing and foxing while retaining strong bindings. Leather has areas of light staining. / No.5: Book in the gold embossed leather-bound style of the previous volumes, entitled "Fishing at Home & Abroad". Edited by Sir Herbert Maxwell. Book is numbered "601 of 750" copies. Illustrated with photogravure colored monochrome and half-toned plates. CONDITION: book has lightly worn cover with scuffing. Pages have foxing and light wear. / No.6: Book entitled "A Breath from the Veldt". Authored by John Guille Millais with a frontispiece by the late J. E. Millais. New and revised edition published in 1899 and well illustrated with sketches as well as black and white illustrations. CONDITION: bound in dark green cloth with gold embossed lettering. The covers have wear and scuffing. Spine is becoming loose. Pages have wear and foxing. Fly leaf has dedication to Norm Flayderman dated "1980". / No.7: Book entitled "The Noble Science" by Radcliffe. Subtitled "A Few General Ideas on Fox Hunting". This volume is a new revised corrected and enlarged edition by William Blew. Published in 1893, it is illustrated with steel plate and wood engravings, some of which are colored by hand. CONDITION: bound in guilt edged red leather with marbled end papers. The book has moderate wear, staining and foxing with several loose pages. Binding is generally tight.
