Lot 4455 RARE LATE 17TH CENTURY EUROPEON STEEL BODIED

POWDER FLASK. This good looking flask has 5-1/2" half round trapezoidal shaped body incised with many lines and some scroll engraving. A 5" belt hook is affixed to back. Four eyes for attachment of hanging cord are on sides and a goose is engraved on bottom. Hinged top is held in place by screw at top of body and has 3" spout engraved en suite. Spring loaded gate has thumb piece that is well file decorated. CONDITION: very good to fine. Shows overall cleaning to an attractive pewter gray with some light remaining pitting.
