Lot 4345 UNMARKED FLINTLOCK BOOT/BELT PISTOL.

Cal. 41 Rifled. NSN. Bbl. 3 13/16". Flintlock coat pistol of unknown origin. Sideplate and hammer feature light foliate scroll engraving, which extends to the bbl. tang and rear of the bbl. Faceted breech end of bbl. with central ring transitioning to a rnd. contour, terminating in a cannon style muzzle. 1-piece wood stock features relief foliate carving to the rear of the bbl. tang and ramrod channel. Brass trigger guard, with engraved brass sideplate and pommel cap. Complete with iron ramrod. CONDITION: metal components have faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting some light surface oxidation and age related discoloration. Bbl. has been cleaned, with the majority exhibiting a light gray patina. Brass furniture has acquired a pleasing mellow patina. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows some scattered superficial marks and impressions, with a chip present at the ramrod channel, and a chip and small crack present on the bottom right edge of the pommel cap.
