^Lot 4336 VIENNA STYLE BRONZE LOCK MIQUELET HOLSTER PISTOL.

Cal. 46. S# NSN. The 12-1/4" barrel transitions from octagonal at breech through turned band, to round. Miquelet lock with flat bronze plate and integral heavy pan has nicely file decorated exterior main spring and well sculpted cock. Lockplate is engraved with some large shaded scrolls. Stock, made of attractively fiddle figured maple, has long knobbed grip; extends to muzzle and is pinned to barrel. Decorative mouldings are around most elements. Brass mounts are nicely filed and are engraved with scrolls matching lockplate. Bottom of grip, trigger guard bow, rear of sideplate and crestplate are further decorated with relief cast silver bosses depicting helmed warriors. Wooden ramrod with turned steel tip mounts through faceted pipe and matching thimble. CONDITION: good to fine. Steel and iron parts cleaned to silver. Bronze and brass toned to mustard brown. Silver is somewhat rubbed. Stock shows wear and old oil refinish; front 6" replaced and well matched. Bore is good. It appears that barrel was stretched as well with about 6" restored.
