Cal. 5.4mm. S# 5761. Bbl. 7 3/4". Single shot smoothbore parlor pistol mfg. by Flobert. Left flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked with an unidentified proofmark, with "FLOBERT" marked above the S# on the bottom flat. Sides of frame, top tang of frame, and trigger guard bow exhibit light scroll engraving. Bbl. exhibits a polished blue finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece deeply grooved wood grip, featuring relief carving on the stock ears. Diminutive half-moon blade front sight with dovetailed V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: frame, trigger guard, trigger, hammer, and butt cap have faded to a gray patina, exhibiting some light pitting and age related discoloration. Bbl. retains the majority of its original brightly polished blue finish, showing light to mild edge wear, scattered superficial handling marks, and some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting some machining marks and some spots/patches of light pitting. Proper manual mechanics. Grip shows some scattered superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (01-28004/MLW). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
