PISTOL. Cal. 45. NSN. 10 1/2" oct bbl. John Manton & Sons patent marked Flintlock action with manual safety. Lock, hammer and pineapple finial trigger plate have bright finish. Bbl, trigger guard and fittings have a striking fire blue finish. Lock and fittings have simple but tasteful engraving. Brass tipped hardwood ramrod is held on underrib by a fire blue thimble and single plain pipe. Ebony tipped key fastened walnut buttstock with hand checkering. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in a synthetic leather covered case with red fitted interior. Case, lid and label are marked with maker's name "WAFFENSCHMIEDE IM ZEUGHAUS - UBERLINGEN". Case contains cleaning rod with brushes and attachment, cleaning patches and spare frizzen. CONDITION: bbl and fittings retain over 90% vivid fire blue. Other metal parts have very good bright finish. Stock has good finish, right side of checkering shows two small dents. Sound lock. Very good bore. (01-28001/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-2,000.
