MUSKET. Cal. 577. NSN. Bbl. octagon to round with faceted transition and smoothbore is cut to 12". Reinstalled ornate semi-circular brass front sight. Top of bbl. and lock have encircled sitting fox. Top flat of bbl. is marked "LONDON". Tail of lock is marked "BARNETT". Stock is cut near the muzzle and just behind the trigger guard tang with an overall length of 20 5/8". Plain iron trigger guard. Serpentine brass sideplate. Brass tipped hardwood ramrod. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a converted modern silverware case measuring 24 1/4" x 9 1/4" x 3". Case has added brown felt lined interior with suede pad. CONDITION: bbl. and trigger guard have good rebrowned finish. Lock has faded gray appearance with scattered light pitting. Refinished stock shows scattered scratches and marks with an area of missing wood above the lock. Sound lock. Bore is generally bright with some very light pitting. (01-27959/DS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
