^Lot 4213 CYRUS ALGER COEHORN MORTAR.

~5" bore diameter Coehorn mortar. Tube measures 12" in height from wooden base. Face of muzzle marked "CA & CO 72 LBS/TJR 1863". Rear of tube marked "U.S.". Tube has old gray repaint. Mortar is on a green colored wooden base that measures 13" in width & 22" in length. Base has iron fittings & maybe newer than mortar. "US" marked hardwood muzzle cover also present that appears reproduction. CONDITION: tube shows overall worn gray paint, scattered white staining, oxidation on inside & outside. Wooden base shows a few small cracks, staining & age related wear. Metal parts of base show overall oxidation. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection. (02-26023/MJC). NON-GUN. $1,500-2,500.
