An excellent example of an English made American Civil War era belt knife measuring 11" overall with a plain 6" blade stamped at the ricasso with a star and Maltese cross on one side and " J. RODGERS & SONS No6 NORFOLK ST SHEFFIELD" on the other. German silver cross guard with a 2-piece horn grip with the front grip having a small elliptical escutcheon. German silver mounted brown leather sheath. CONDITION: knife is in superb condition showing very little wear for its age. (02-25891/BF). $400-700.
