Cal. 9mm Pinfire. S# 12206. Bbl. 6 3/8". Single action pinfire revolver mfg. by Eugene Lefaucheux. Left side of the frame appears to be marked "IN VON E. LEFAUCHEUX/ BREVETE SGDG (PAB S)". Right side of the frame is marked with a "broken revolver" above "LF" (Lefaucheux workshop logo) followed by the S#. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood grips, featuring a faceted butt with a lanyard swivel and ring. Dovetailed blade front sight with notched rear sight on hammer. Matching assembly # "52" or "520" is present on the frame, loading gate, cyl., and bbl. CONDITION: metal components retain scant traces of their original blue finish with the balance having faded to a mottled gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting and age related discoloration. Near mirror bore, exhibiting light to mild pitting and oxidation around the muzzle area. Proper manual mechanics, although the hammer spring is weak and the hammer does not always lock in the rearward position. Grips show scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis. (01-27454/MLW). ANTIQUE. $700-1,000.
