REVOLVER & HOLSTER. Cal. 36. S# 39752. Standard configuration, scares and longest 6.5" octagonal barrel stamped on top flat: "MANHATTAN FIREARMS CO. NEWARK NJ", German silver blade front sight; 5-shot, 11 stop cylinder is unique to Manhattan design. Cylinder is roll engraved with 5 different panel scenes and stamped "PATENTED DEC 27, 1859". CONDITION: very good overall fine, all matching and complete, barrel retains 30-40% blue finish, stamped markings are crisp, grip strap retains about half its original silver plate, grips retain about 70-80% original varnish. Mechanics are fine, good crisp rifled bore. Accompanying tooled brown leather holster has had military style flap cut off. PROVENANCE: Bob Alispones estate collection. (01-28679/JS).
