This was the most popular DA martial revolver of the Civil War, this is a good example in standard configuration, 6" round barrel, frame stamped "STARRS PATENT JAN. 15 1856" & "STARR ARMS CO. NEW YORK" on either side. 1-piece grips inspection cartouched on both sides. CONDITION: very good overall. All matching. Metal retains about 30% blue finish overall. Grips have discernible cartouches, repaired chip on right side. Mechanically fine, crisp rifled bore. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (01-27673/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
