Cal. 36. S# 18180. Bbl is 7 3/8" oct with large bead sight. 2-line address has patent date of Dec. 17, 1861. 6-shot round cyl. Brass trigger guard. Various parts have inspector initials "C" or "P". 2-pc walnut grips; left panel has illegible remnants of cartouche. Estimated quantity of 7,000 mfg in 1862. CONDITION: metal has faded to brown showing dents and marks. Grips show heavy wear with chips at toe. Functioning action. Lightly pitted bore retains strong rifling. (01-28540/DS).
