^Lot 4097 U.S. MARKED COLT 1860 REWORKED REVOLVER.

Cal. 44. S# 34750 on frame. Bbl is shortened to 7 3/4" with German silver blade front sight and New York address. Bbl S# is 110895. 6-shot round rebated cyl is not S# marked. Brass trigger guard with S# 34060 over US marking. Iron backstrap is also marked 34060. Loading lever and wedge are unnumbered. Inspector's initials "G" is found on the left bbl flat, inspector initial "B" is found on right bbl and trigger guard tang. Frame is cut for shoulder stock attachment. S# indicates 1863 mfg. CONDITION: metal has faded to gray. Brass trigger guard is cleaned showing a light reacquired patina. Some action screws are replacement. Replacement grips are 2-pc glued to an added center block. Functioning action. Bore shows sound rifling. (01-28538/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-2,000.
