Lot 4095 GOOD MARTIAL CIVIL WAR COLT MODEL 1860 ARMY

REVOLVER. Cal. 44. S# 79362. Standard configuration of 1862 government contracted army revolver, 8" round barrel, 1-line New York address, rebated cylinder with rolled naval battle scene, "COLT'S / PATENT" left side of frame, walnut grips with inspection cartouches on either side, metal parts have small sub-inspection marks. This is a very honest "as found" Colt army that has survived in complete original condition. CONDITION: very good overall, complete, original, all matching S#s, barrel has plum patina, cylinder has good naval rolled scene, frame & hammer have traces of dark muted case colors, sound grips with 2 good cartouches, mechanics are fine, crisp rifled bore.
