Cal. 44-40. S# 16. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, bbl., cyl., ejector rod housing & trigger guard. Bbl. has Col's Patent marking with Hartford address. Left side of frame has varied patent dates with "-44 CAL" marking. Hardwood grips with added crude checkering. Lanyard ring present on bottom of grip frame. CONDITION: grips show heavy usage wear with heavy checkering wear, some abrasions, dings & handling marks. Metal is mostly a dull gray patina with strong traces of nickel on cyl., further traces of nickel, scattered oxidation, dings & handling marks. Action appears functional when hand cycled.
