Lot 3569 BEAUTIFUL, ENGRAVED & SILVER INLAID UBERTI

REPRODUCTION COLT TEXAS PATERSON SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER WITH CASE & ACCESSORIES. Cal. 36. S# 213. Bbl. 7 1/2". Paterson single action percussion revolver mfg. in Italy by Uberti in 1989. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "~* Samuel Colt Texas Paterson *~", with the bottom flat marked with the Uberti logo, followed by "CAL. 36 BLACK POWDER ONLY", 2 Italian proofs, and a boxed "AU" (89) date code. The frame features near full coverage foliate scroll engraving on a matte hatched background (save for on the front strap), with a silver band engraved along the edge of the recoil shield. Sides of frame plate exhibit a bordered band of foliate engraving. Complimentary scrollwork extends to the rear sides of the bbl. Breech end of bbl. exhibits 2 decorative bands of engraving surmounting a silver band (engraving and band present on top, left quarter, and right quarter flats), with 2 silver bands present around the circumference of the bbl. at the breech. Cyl. is engraved with a Colt style stagecoach scene between 2 silver bands. Tip of loading lever terminates in a band of foliate engraving. Frame, cyl., and bbl. exhibit a blue finish, with the rear grip strap, hammer, frame plate, and loading lever exhibiting a case colored finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece pearl grip, featuring 3 floral engraved brass pins on either side. Fixed half-moon blade front sight with V-notch rear sight on hammer. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood display case featuring a brown velour fitted interior, containing a single cell bullet mold, takedown tool, brass cleaning rod, brass capper, brass powder flask, and brass key. Drawer of case contains a steel loading tool, as well as a Mammoth Grip Exchange 1-piece plain natural white grip (grip has not been finished, with panels needing to be adhered together via adhesive). CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory blue finish, save for a few superficial handling marks that are present on the cyl. Case colored parts/components retain virtually all of their vibrant factory finish. Silver bands have acquired a pleasing tarnish. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Front face of bbl. exhibits some spots of age related discoloration. Proper manual mechanics (with cyl. removed to preserve condition). Pearl grips show a few light superficial handling marks overall, with each side exhibiting a repair at the top section of the panels. Right side of grip exhibits some light checking. Case shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as 2 surface level cracks on the lid, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. A very attractive 1989 Uberti reproduction of a Colt Texas Paterson revolver. (01-28387/MLW). ANTIQUE. $2,500-3,500.
