Cal. 44 Mag. / Spl. (44 Magnum / 44 Special). S# BB06468. Bbl. 19 7/8". "Big Boy" lever action rifle mfg. by Henry Repeating Arms in Brooklyn, NY. Left quarter flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "HENRY REPEATING ARMS BKLYN NY", with the cal. designation marked on the right quarter flat. Upper receiver tang is marked with the S# "BB06468". Brass frame, bbl. band, and buttplate exhibit a polished finish, with remaining metal components exhibiting a polished blue finish overall. 1-piece plain wood forearm and straight grip buttstock. Dovetailed brass beaded blade front sight and dovetailed reverse mounted (for scope mount) U-notch rear sight. Top of bbl. has been drilled and tapped towards the breech, featuring a black anodized alloy scope rail, fitted with a Nikon 1.5-4.5x20mm scope. Trigger guard plate screw is absent. CONDITION: brass furniture retains a bright polished appearance, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks overall (most notably on the right rear section of the receiver), with some scattered pinprick spots of apparent verdigris. Blued parts are very good to excellent overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows a few small scattered superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good overall. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic.
