Lot 3549 REMINGTON NEW YORK ROLLING BLOCK RIFLE.
Cal. 50-70. NSN. Bbl. 36". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1000yds. Type 3 action with last tang patent date of March 18th, 1874. New York National Guard Rolling Block rifle but no visible military markings on metal or wood. Rear sight assembly is blued but balance of metal has bright finish. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. Ramrod present that appears to be a later short replacement. CONDITION: stock appears lightly sanded with added finish, a couple light chips, scattered dings, scratches & handling marks. Metal shows an old cleaning with faint tang markings, scattered oxidation, areas turning gray & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
