Cal. 45-70. S#. 66908. Bbl. 28* round. Pinned blade front with military style graduated leaf rear sight. Tubular magazine is located in the stock. Case colored action. Band fastened forend & walnut stock with steel buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter dated 9-4-2003 and signed by Waddy Colvert. the letter states: "Musket / Received in warehouse on November19, 1890 / Shipped from warehouse on January, 1890, order number 12". CONDITION: dull faded bbl. blue shows scattered dark spotting. The action shows some fading case colors on its sides with scattered corrosion. The wood has added finish over wear & marks showing spots of mildew. Their is a 1 7/8" black inlayed repair behind the lower tang. The cleaning rod & trigger guard sling swivel are not present. Sound action. The lightly pitted bore retains sound rifling. (01-26768/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
