MODEL HOTCHKISS BOLT ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 45-70. S#. 12115. Bbl. 24" round. Pinned blade front with military graduated leaf rear sight. Action features include, magazine cutoff on right side, saddle ring on left side with a tubular magazine located in the stock. Left side of receiver has the 3 line Winchester address. Half length band fastened walnut stock with steel carbine buttplate. Right side of wrist is stamped "U.S.", left side has "CGC" cartouche. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Cody firearms museum letter dated 9-4-2003 and signed by Waddy Colvert. Letter states: "Carbine, Received in warehouse on December 15, 1881., Shipped from warehouse on January9,1882, order number 30198". CONDITION: barrel retains over 80% lightly faded blue showing wear near the muzzle. The receiver has a faded gray appearance. Stock finish shows scattered handling with dark staining around the forend tip area. Right side of butt above the toe line has a 7/16" circular repair. Stock markings are sharp. Sound action.
