SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 45-70. S#. 9517. Bbl. 32 1/8" with fixed front and graduated leaf rear sight. Flat sided hammerless action. Blue finish with case colored lever, block & trigger. Two band fastened forend and straight grip walnut stock with checkered steel buttplate. Left side of butt has a partially visible circular marking "B" over what may be crossed swords. Slotted tip wiping rod. Approx. 8,700 mfg. 1878-1881. CONDITION: over 90% lightly faded blue showing spotted light pitting & handling marks on the action. Lever has some lightly visible case colors with spotted light pitting. Original wood finish shows light wear with numerous scratches & marks. Sound action.
