Lot 3493 WINCHESTER MODEL 1898 SIGNAL CANNON WITH BLANKS.

Cal. 10 GA (for blank cartridges only). Model 1898 signal cannon mfg. by Winchester between 1903-1958. Top of the cannon tube exhibits a partially visible "NOT FOR BALL" towards the center, with a partially legible "10 GA" caliber designation marked towards the breech. Metal components exhibit a reapplied black enamel finish overall. Cast iron carriage and wheels also exhibit a black enamel finish. Sides of carriage are marked in raised letters "W.R.A.Co/ TRADE MARK/ REGISTERED IN U.S.A.". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: x3 25-rd. boxes of Remington Dupont 10 GA yacht gun blanks, x1 full box, x1 partial box (20-rds. remaining), and x1 box containing 2-rds. of blank ammunition. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied black enamel finish, exhibiting some scattered spots of flaking, with a ring of wear fading to gray patina present around the circumference of the muzzle. Bore exhibits consistent moderate pitting. Proper manual mechanics. Ammunition shows varying degrees of age related discoloration, with rds. appearing serviceable.
