Lot 3481 THIRD MODEL SMITH & WESSON NO. 3 RUSSIAN REVOLVER.
Cal. 44 S&W Russian. S# 49943. Bbl. 6 1/2". Round blade front sight. Fixed u-notch rear sight. Frame, bbl. & cyl. all have "302" assembly numbers. Third Model Russian Revolver with "RUSSIAN MODEL" on top of bbl. Underside of grip frame has boxed "1874" date with "P" marking. Lanyard ring present on bottom of grip frame. Nickel finish with case colored trigger & hammer. Smooth cream colored grips both matching numbered in stencil to revolver's serial number. CONDITION: grips show handling wear & staining. Case colored parts are turning gray with strong traces of their finish & scattered oxidation. Balance of metal retains 60% nickel with scattered oxidation, edge wear, handling marks & flaking.
