Cal 44-40. NSN. Bbl. 7" with integral blade front sight. Mfg. for Merwin & Hulbert by Hopkins & Allen. 6 Shot fluted cyl. Matching numbers on bbl. assembly, cyl. & grips. Left side of frame marked "CALIBRE / WINCHESTER 1873". The butt profile has been altered, likely removing the frame serial number. The number 5830 appears on the barrel assembly, cylinder, and grips. Right side of frame marked "MERWIN, HULBERT & CO. N.Y. / POCKET ARMY". 2 Piece checkered hard rubber bird's head grips. Butt of grip has been altered with aftermarket lanyard ring installed. CONDITION: bbl. & cyl. retain 65% original flaking nickel with scattered light oxidation & fine pitting. Frame has cleaned gray appearance with areas of light pitting.
