Cal. 44-40. S# 15926. Bbl. 3 3/8". Mfg. for Merwin & Hulbert by Hopkins & Allen. 6 Shot fluted cyl. Flat butt with lanyard ring. 2 Piece checkered hard rubber grips. Bbl. & cyl marked with assembly numbers "6447". Left side of frame marked "CALIBRE / WINCHESTER 1873". Nickel finish. CONDITION: bbl. has been heavily cleaned with evidence of prior pitting. Cyl. retains 10% nickel with balance an even brown patina. Frame retains 70% original flaking nickel with scratches; exposed metal is an even brown patina.
