Cal. 44 Colt Centerfire as used by the US Army from 1871-1873. S#. 29661. Bbl. 8" octagon w/ cone style front sight.6 shot round conversion cyl. w/o ejector. Blue finish with brass trigger guard. Frame & trigger guard have "W" or "P" inspector initials. 2 piece walnut grips. CONDITION: over 70% lightly faded reblued finish. Right side of the frame is cracked behind the cyl. Grips show wear w/ chips & cracks. Sound mechanics. The bore is generally bright w/ sound rifling showing spotted light pitting. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis. (01-27538/DS).
