Cal. 44 Remington CF. S# 144. Bbl. 7 1/2" round with webbed ejector housing. Fluted 6 shot cyl. Blue finish. Custom thicker than standard 2 piece stag grips. Butt has a lanyard ring. Estimated production of 25,000-30,000 guns mfg. 1875-1889. CONDITION: metal finish has largely faded to gray with small amounts of worn blue remaining in protected areas. Grips have a slightly under size fit. Action shows wear, cyl. does not index completely when cycled slowly. The bore is generally bright with strong rifling.
