RIFLE. Cal. 22-10 (22 XL Maynard). S# 3711. Half oct., half rnd. 28.25" bbl. Globe aperture front sight & tang mounted vernier rear sight. Small width receiver. Checkered walnut stock set, schnabel tipped forearm, S curved pistol grip & curved Bullard Firearms "turkey" buttplate. CONDITION: forward portions of barrel has good blue with spots oxidation & light scratches. Balance of receiver & barrel flats are brown patina with traces of blue in protected areas & peppery oxidation. Wood has good appearance with numerous light dings & marks along with finish peeling near wrist. Fair worn rifling. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (01-28352/MD). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
