LOADING SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 Ga. S# 13702. Tip-up, half. oct., half. rnd. 26" barrel with brass front bead. Action has Edward Maynard markings on left side with Mass Arms Co. 1882 markings on right side. Walnut stock set w/ musket style buttplate. CONDITION: barrel has a gray/brown patina appearance with trace streaks of original blue along with scattered marks & corrosion. Balance of action is gray patina with visible colors on triggerguard tang. Wood shows numerous light dings with fading finish along buttplate & a few sm. chips. Bore is generally shiny with pitting forward of chamber. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (01-28350/MD). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
