^Lot 3410 EXTREMELY SCARCE FACTORY ENGRAVED THIRD GENERATION

COLT "EUROPEAN MODEL" SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 9mm (9x19mm Parabellum). S# SA94804. Bbl. 4 3/4". 4 3/4". 1 of only approx. 250-270 Third Generation "European Model" Single Action Army revolvers chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum mfg. by Colt between 1991-1992. This example, mfg. in 1992, is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY" on the left side of the bbl., with Colt's single line address marked across the top, and "9MM" (also marked on rear face of cyl.) marked on the underside towards the breech. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's 2-line patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo. The sides of the frame and top rear half of the bbl. exhibit factory Class "A" pattern Germanic scroll engraving, with small sections on scrollwork extending to the rear grip strap, trigger guard, as well as on the cyl. between the flutes. Metal components exhibit a lustrous nickel plated finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion plain wood grips. Interior of right grip panel is marked "CSA" in white ink, as well as with an "AJE/ INDIA" stamp. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and square notch rear sight on frame. Trigger guard and rear grip strap are matching to the frame via the full S#, with the cyl. matching via the last 3-digits of the S# "804". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unnumbered Colt factory blue cardboard box. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory nickel plated finish overall. Cyl. exhibits a light dragline. Mirror bore, exhibiting a thin layer of apparent factory grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics (with cyl. removed from frame to preserve condition). Grips are very good to excellent overall. Box shows some minor superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (25-6196/MLW). MODERN. $2,500-3,750.
