WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 357 Magnum. S# 66882SA. Bbl. 5 1/2". Second Generation Single Action Army revolver mfg. by Colt in 1973. Left side of the bbl. is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .357 MAGNUM", with Colt's single line address marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's 2-line patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Frame and loading gate exhibit a case colored finish, with remaining metal components exhibiting a blue finish. Sides of hammer are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece aftermarket plain natural white grips. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, cyl., as well as the trigger guard and rear grip strap (beneath left grip panel.). Matching assembly # "396" is present on the frame and loading gate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt blue cardboard factory box with end label matching via a handwritten S#. CONDITION: frame retains good amounts of its original case colored finish, showing areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting. Loading gate has faded to a gray patina. Blued parts retain the majority of their original finish, showing some areas of wear and thinning, as well as scattered superficial handling marks. Grip straps exhibit areas of wear and thinning, with scattered spots/patches of light to mild surface oxidation. Sides of hammer exhibit patches of light pitting and surface oxidation. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips have acquired a yellow tinged patina, exhibiting some light superficial handling marks overall. Box shows some exterior wear, but otherwise remains sound. (25-1241/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-2,000.
