Cal.38 WCF (38-40). S#. 265786. Bbl. 4 3/4" with blade sight & Hartford address. 6 shot fluted cyl. Frame & grip straps have matching numbers. Cylinder S# is stamped out. 2 piece checkered hard rubber rampant colt grips. Mfg. 1906. CONDITION: metal is polished bright showing spots of pitting. Transverse cyl. pin screw is an incorrect replacement. Grips show checkering wear with handling marks at the butt. Action shows wear and is not holding properly on the 3rd notch. Dark lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling. (25-4902/DS). CURIO. $800-1,200.
