FACTORY LETTERS. Cal. 45 Colt. S# 264600. Bbl. 4 3/4". Single Action Army Bisley Model revolver mfg. by Colt in 1905. Left side of the bbl. is marked "(BISLEY MODEL) 45 COLT", with Colt's 2-line address marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's 2-line patent information, followed by the encircled Rampant Colt logo. Bbl., ejector rod housing, cyl., trigger, and grip straps exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Butt of left grip is carved with an apparent diamond, with an "E" carved on the butt of the right grip. Standard fixed blade front sight and square frame notched rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. Grips are matching via a faint "4600", which is lightly etched on the interior of the panels. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster stamped "10" on the rear of the belt loop. Revolver is also accompanied by x2 Colt factory letters (x1 dated 2001, x1 dated 2002) indicating: "Serial Number: 264600/ Caliber .45/c/ Barrel Length: 4 3/4"/ Finish: Blue/ Type of Stocks: Not Listed/ Shipped To: Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Company/ Address: St. Joseph, Missouri/ Date of Shipment: April 4, 1905/ Number of Same Type Guns in Shipment: 2". 2001 factory letter is accompanied by an additional page detailing the history of Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Co. CONDITION: frame and hammer have faded to a gray patina, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting overall. Remaining metal components exhibit areas of wear and thinning to their reapplied blue finish, with consistent light pitting, handling marks, and some spots of mild pitting present overall. Bore is mostly bright, exhibiting scattered spots of mild pitting and scattered patches of moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, with slight cyl. play. Grips show smoothing and scattered superficial handling marks overall, with a few small chips. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting agre related cracking overall.
