REBARRELED. Cal. 44 Spl. S# 182003. Bbl. 7 1/2" replacement with blade front sight. Original Mfg. 1898 with 4 3/4" bbl. chambered for 41 Colt. Subject revolver comes with addition information to include Colt Railway Express letter dated 1954, indicating this gun was again handled by Colt Mfg. 56 years later. Additional transaction receipt dated 1974 lists the features of this gun as being a 7 1/2" barreled 44 Spl. with same grip as today traded by one Robert Conroy. Blued bbl., replacement cyl., trigger guard & grip frame. Rear of cyl. has Rampant Colt logo. Case hardened frame & hammer. Replacement 2 piece smooth white grips, inked inside "Robert Conroy". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Colt Factory letter indicating the following: "Serial Number: 182003 / Caliber: 41/c / Barrel Length: 4 3/4" Finish: Blue / Type of Stocks: Rubber / Shipped to: George Trisch Hardware Company / Address Denver, Colorado / December 21, 1898 / Number of Same Type Guns in Shipment: 6". Colt Railway express receipt. Second receipt dated "1974" confirming current configuration". CONDITION: bbl. retains 97% original blue with light muzzle wear. Ejector housing retains 75% original blue. Trigger guard & backstrap retain 60% original blue with light surface wear. Frame & hammer retain 50% original case colors, fading to silver.
