Ketelsen & Degetau was a hardware firm in El Paso and Juarez selling dry goods, agricultural implements, dynamite, arms and ammunition. The firm's principals were politically involved in the Mexican revolution against Pancho Villa.The K&D store in Juarez was destroyed by Pancho Villa during the 1911 Battle of Juarez. It is written that "[t]he explosion was so loud it was heard in border towns 35 miles away.". CONDITION: metal has a cleaned gray appearance showing handling marks and scattered very light pitting. Grips show moderate wear, may be replacement due to poor fit at frame. Sound mechanics. Some action screws appear to be replacements. Dark lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling.
