ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 45 Colt. S# 216396. Bbl. 7 1/2". Mfg. in 1901. Left side of the bbl. is marked "45 COLT" with Colt's single line address marked across the top. Left side of frame with Colt's 2-line patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Near full coverage custom aftermarket engraving consisting of scroll work, as well as various patterns and motifs on a punch dot background. Butt is signed "DW HARRIS". Metal components exhibit an aftermarket applied gold plated finish, with frame screws and cyl. base pin button exhibiting a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece smooth natural white grip. Right side of grip features a relief carved Native American head. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger guard, and rear grip strap. Cyl. is mismatched. CONDITION: metal components retain virtually all of their aftermarket gold plated finish, showing some spots of light pitting beneath the finish. Nitre blue screws show some light to mild wear and thinning. Proper manual mechanics. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grip is excellent.
