Left side of action has the rampant colt motif. Walnut forend & straight grip walnut stock w/ crescent steel trap door buttplate. Total of 6403 mfg. 1883-1885. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. blue is thinning & fading to a plum appearance. Receiver retains 60% lightly worn blue showing carry wear w/ scratches & handling marks. Original wood finish shows moderately wear w/ scratches marks & dents. sound action. Bore shows scattered pitting w/ largely intact rifling. PROVENANCE: the esteemed Norm Greenberg collection.
