1894 DELUXE BARRELED ACTION. Cal. 32 WCF. S# 113521. Bbl. 20". Model 1894 Deluxe bbl.'d action mfg. by Winchester in 1898. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Winchester's mfg. and patent information, with the cal. designation marked at the breech. Left side of the lower receiver tang is marked "11717 S". The left side of the receiver features professionally executed scroll work, a scene of a scene of a ram, as well as gold colored borders and accents. Right side of the receiver features matching scroll engraving, gold borders and accents, as well as a scene of a deer. Top and bottom of the receiver feature matching pattern scrollwork, with the top of the receiver also exhibiting a wavy line and dot pattern along the sides of the bolt channel. Receiver and bbl. are in-the-white. Bbl. is fitted with an aftermarket brass tipped blade front sight. Rear sight is absent. Bbl. is not indexed. CONDITION: receiver retains a mostly bright appearance, exhibiting areas of light pitting, scattered handling marks, some spots of oxidation, as well as some spots of age related discoloration. Upper receiver tang exhibits a crack on the rear corners of the hammer slot, which are not present on the underside. Bbl. retains a gray patina and scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting varying degrees of oxidation, while retaining strong rifling throughout. (01-27013/MLW). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
