Cal. 348 WCF. S# 41421. Bbl. 24". Model 71 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1955. Left side of the bbl. exhibits standard markings denoting Winchester's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood semi-beavertail forearm and black synthetic capped pistol grip stock with flat checkered steel buttplate. Ramped aluminum beaded blade front sight with slot blank in rear dovetail and Lyman No. 56 peep sight mounted on left side of receiver. Lyman sight is missing its disc aperture. Underside of stock and forearm cap feature factory Super Grade sling swivel bases. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, showing some areas of mild wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with some scattered scratches, superficial handling marks, and small spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some wear to its varnish finish, as well as scattered superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound.
