Cal. 348 WCF. S# 36924. Bbl. 24". Mfg. in 1954. Standard markings on left side of bbl. denoting model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood forearm and brown synthetic capped pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Toeline of stock and underside of forend cap feature sling swivels. Ramped and hooded aluminum bead front sight with slot blank in rear dovetail and Lyman No. 56 adj. aperture rear sight mounted on left side of receiver. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, showing some light edge wear, a few small spots of light wear, and scattered superficial handling marks and scratches. Left side and underside of bbl. exhibit scattered small spots of light pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting a small streak of what appears to be either light surface oxidation or hardened grease, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered handling marks and small impressions from handling and storage, as well as some flaking to its varnish finish, but otherwise remains sound. (25-4750/MLW).
