Cal. 25-20 WCF. S# 1006503. Bbl 22" with hooded stippled ramp beaded front sight and folding leaf adjustable rear sight. Lyman 1A tang sight. Checkered recontoured pistol grip walnut butt with checkered forearm terminated with checkered steel shotgun buttplate, screw fastened forearm cap and "Winchester Repeating Arms" hard rubber pistol grip cap over an epoxy filler. CONDITION: a nicely refinished example with 95% metal coverage showing some scattered handling marks. The left side of the receiver has two plugged holes from a receiver sight and discoloration from a non professional touch up blue job on that side. The stock set has been after market adjusted with added checkering and shaping with epoxy filler added to the pistol grip cap area and minor handling marks. Bore has some mild frosting and some spots of pitting with sharp rifling. Despite the list of work done this is a fairly attractive example if it were not for the left side receiver finish discoloration. (25-1271/ZAL). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
