ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 25-20 WCF. S# 4774. Bbl. 22" tapered rnd. Ramp mounted Lyman brass bead front sight, original flat top sporting rear sight, with a Lyman combination tang sight. Half length takedown mag. Blue finish. Forearm and straight grip stock of nicely grained walnut with grooved steel buttplate. Mfg. in 1926. CONDITION: fine. Bbl. retains over 97% original blue showing small spots of light oxidation. Much of the bbl. extension blue has flaked to a brown appearance. Action retains over 80% original blue showing spots of flaking and fading with scattered scratches and marks. Good original wood finish shows some light scratches and marks. Buttplate blue shows moderate wear. Excellent mechanics. Bright near excellent bore. (25-1720/DS). CURIO. $3,000-4,500.
