Cal. 30 WCF. S#. 368095. Bbl. 20" carbine style. Marble replacement style pinned blade front sight, rear sight dovetail is open. Left side of receiver has a saddle ring. Special features consist of double set triggers and a hard rubber capped pistol grip stock with checkered steel rifle type buttplate. Left inside of lower tang is stamped with assembly # 2496 followed by "S" indicating special. Butt of stock has matching assembly number 2496 over an added double stamped marking that appears to be "JARAX". S# indicates 1906 mfg. CONDITION: bbl. & action retain over 90% reblued finish showing scratches, marks and some remaining pitting. The steel buttplate shows scattered pitting. The front receiver ring has an added filed notch apparently for sight clearance. The tang screw is an incorrect replacement.
Sanded wood has a dark non-gloss finish showing handling marks with chips along the top tang. The toe has a 2" added wood repair. Properly functioning double set triggers. Dark lightly pitted bore retains good rifling. (25-1386/DS). CURIO. $400-600.
