Cal. 25-20 WCF. S# 937084. Mfg. 1925. Bbl. 20" with pinned carbine blade front sight (replacement blade). Carbine rear sight. Bbl marked "-Model 92 W- Winchester-25-20 W.C.F.- / -Trademark-". Uncheckered straight grip walnut carbine stock set held with single barrel band and terminated with a smooth steel carbine buttplate. CONDITION: overall fair with bbl finish thinning to approx 30% coverage with the exposed metal finish turning to a light grey patina and carrying minor handling marks and light scratches. Receiver finish only remains in the protected area with approx 15% coverage with the predominance in the upper tang area behind the hammer. Loading gate retains 50% of its blued finish. Crisp markings. The stock set is good and caught a light sanding and refinish showing some scratches and scattered light handling marks. Bore shows some light frosting, mild pitting and distinct sharp rifling. (25-1321/ZAL). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
