RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 304304. Bbl. 24" octagon to rnd. Lyman No. 4 hunting front sight, with original flat top sporting rear sight, and early Lyman combination tang sight having a large disc aperture. Button mag. Blue finish, with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with factory hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Mfg. in 1905. CONDITION: 40% original blue, showing small scratches and marks, with spots of light pitting. Wood has original finish showing scattered scratches and marks. Mechanically fine. Lightly pitted bore, retains sharp rifling. (25-1721/DS). CURIO. $3,000-4,000.
