MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). S# 4887. Bbl. 24" octagon. Gold washed Beech combination front sight, sporting rear sight and mid-range Vernier tang sight having large disc aperture. Full length mag. Blue finish with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg. in 1892, first year of production. CONDITION: Fine overall retaining over 70% original blue, showing carry and edge wear, with spots of freckling on the receiver. Hammer and lever retain some visible case colors. Forearm has added finish over scratches and marks. Original stock finish shows small spots of wear, with numerous fine scratches and marks. Mechanically excellent. Very good bore with scattered spots of light pitting. (01-27090/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,000-4,000.
